Oxfordian College is pleased to offer the TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid, a qualification designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to administer first aid to children and infants in emergency situations. TQUK stands for Training Qualifications UK, which is an Ofqual regulated awarding organization that develops and accredits qualifications.

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid provides initial training for those who would like basic training in First aid for Babies, Children and infants. The emergency course consists of the first-day modules for the two-day Paediatric First Aid course. The emergency course covers immediate life-threatening situations and managing an emergency. The course includes training variants for babies, children and infants such as choking and CPR.

• Understand the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider.
• Be able to assess an emergency situation safely.
• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally.
• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally.
• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who has a foreign body airway obstruction Be able to provide first aid to an infant and a child with external bleeding.
• Understand how to provide first aid to an infant and a child with anaphylaxis.
• Understand how to provide first aid to an infant and a child who is suffering from shock.
