Overview

Oxfordian College is pleased to offer the TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid, awarded by TQUK. This qualification is designed to equip individuals with the essential knowledge and skills to administer first aid to children and infants in emergency situations.

The course provides initial training for those seeking basic first aid skills for babies, children, and infants. It comprises the first-day modules of the two-day Paediatric First Aid course, focusing on immediate life-threatening situations and emergency management. Training includes critical areas such as choking, CPR, and other life-saving techniques tailored for babies, children, and infants.

Units

• Understand the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider.
• Be able to assess an emergency situation safely.
• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally.
• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally.
• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who has a foreign body airway obstruction Be able to provide first aid to an infant and a child with external bleeding.
• Understand how to provide first aid to an infant and a child with anaphylaxis.
• Understand how to provide first aid to an infant and a child who is suffering from shock.
