Overview

Oxfordian College is pleased to offer the Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills Qualifications in Maths, awarded by TQUK. Functional Skills qualifications provide reliable evidence of learners’ achievements against demanding content that is relevant to the workplace. They offer a foundation for progression into employment or further technical education, while also developing skills for everyday life.

This qualification helps learners gain confidence and fluency in mathematics, developing a positive attitude towards the subject. Learners will demonstrate a solid grasp of mathematical knowledge and skills and apply them to solve practical problems.

Progression

Learners who achieve the TQUK Functional Skills Qualification in Maths at Level 1 could progress to:

▪ GSCE Mathematics
▪ Further study for general or vocational qualifications at a suitable level
▪ Further study at Level 2 (for example, the TQUK Functional Skills Qualification in Maths at Level 2
